Circus Parade TAB

Jean-Marie van de Laar has sent me a TAB he has made for Circus Parade by Joe  Morley.

I have now added this to the MUSIC LIBRARY. Circus Parade is a great banjo solo and there are some excellent Video performances (and my average one!) on the VIDEOS page.

Enjoy this piece. It is well worth the effort to learn it, so now, with the TAB, there is no excuse not to :-)

The version with the thumb rasps is better ;-)

I'd play the 4-note chord broken, as in thumb(3rd)middle(2nd)index(1st)thumb(5th). By moving your thumb from the 3rd to the 5th while the two other strings are being sounded you can obtain a very rapid and brilliant effect.

I sort of agree with Mike that a rapid broken chord would be very effective, but I would play it : RH Thumb for the 3rd string, Index finger for the 2nd string, middle finger for the  1st string then Thumb for the  5th string. This is a natural forward roll of the fingers for me.

BUT in preference I would play the D on the 4th string and use the Thumb rasp for the G7 chord (5strings)

Jean-Marie has also sent me TAB versions of  Spanish Fandango and Eli Green's Cakewalk that I have added to the MUSIC LIBRARY.  Thank you so much for those.

One point I would like to make is that Jean-Marie also sent a TAB for Banjo Oddity, but I have not added this to the MUSIC LIBRARY as a TAB version of this early Clifford Essex publication has been re-released by the Clifford Essex Music Company and I have agreed with them that I will not publish TAB if they have already done so.
