BMG Summer School

Off to the summer school at Knutson Hall, near Northampton.

I am in the Chris Sand's banjo group. It was great fun last year.

I am sure it will be this year too. Looking forward to it.

More of you on here ought to give some thought to going next year.

Give my regards to Chris,

You won't find a better tutor. The man is an encyclopaedia of knowledge when it comes to the banjo and banjo scores. I have asked over the phone which fingering is best in a piece he has not seen for ages and he knows exactly where I am, what chord I am in and what fingers I should use... amazing!

I attended my first BMG Summer School in 2010 and was in the mixed folk group and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I couldn't make it this year.

I am just starting to learn classical banjo. How long do you think it would be before I could join the banjo group at a summer school? Hearing the banjos playing last year was a revelation, although it has taken me a while to get around to doing anything about it :-).
