A Georgian Breeze by Joe Morley - Ragtime Banjo with Fortepiano!

Comprising of three contrasting and beautifully written themes, "A Georgian Breeze" is a wonderful example of the creative genius of the great English banjoist and composer Joe Morley (1867 - 1937). The trio section stands out as one of the most joyous pieces of pure ragtime ever composed on the fingerstyle banjo.

"A Georgian Breeze" is performed here by Chris Sands (fingerstyle banjo) and Alexis Rogerson (fortepiano).

The banjo is a twelve-and-a-quarter inch open-back wood hoop Weaver, fitted with a calf skin vellum and nylon strings. The fortepiano was made by John Broadwood in 1804.

Question: Is the fortepiano better suited to the role of banjo accompaniment than the more powerful modern day piano?
