The Backwell rally is now defunct, a combination of old age, lack of support, increase in hire fees etc. There is a new event starting near Nottingham in October I think. Clowne continues but we will have to see who/how many turn/turns up as regards the long term. We could do with some younger blood to get things going again.
I should just like to join in the general delight in seeing you again, Liz!
In addition to the rallies BMG summer school is still going. This year its 13th to 15th June at Halsway Manor. Danielle is the teacher. Would be awesome to see you there!
By the way, the Comment Wall is a bit cumbersome to use as there is no continuity of conversation. A better way is to click "New Discussion" on the home page here. Although your multi-way conversations have not been directly about banjo music they relate well enough to the subject .In my opinion they don't need to sequestered in the Comments section.

Hi Liz! Good to see you here.

.... and the Backwell banjo rally ! I had a throat infection and spoke and sang as a basso profundo.
Good to see you back in the banjo world, there are not many of us left. Are you joining us at Clowne on the 17th?
Fortunately I haven't needed Vocal Zones since then. "The Back Streets Of Bristol" would make a good title for a banjo tune or maybe a song.
Whoops, I think it was 2010.
