Hello Richard, good to be back. No, I won’t be doing Clowne this time round; my husband is a writer and has a book launch that day, and I should be there doing the wifely support thing. Also, I wasn’t aware of the rally, having been out of touch for so long. Are the various banjo rallies notified on this website? Hope to see you at one or two of them.
It's a shame about Backwell – I have fond memories of those days. My son, Chas, plays all types of fretted instrument and, as a result of my return to the fold, is also interested in pursuing classic banjo again. The new event in Nottingham could be interesting for both of us; my brother lives there so we could kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.
