Have you tried a long neck, such as a Christy?

I have not. I'm certain they wouldn't have the same tone and play ability as regular banjos with an extended fretboard. Another thing is the quality of the build. Most of the banjos are like our professional models. I can't find one of these with a big enough pot or a tone ring.
