A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
A Classic Banjo-piece by Horace Weston (1825 – 1890).
Nice, and one of my favorites.
Did you learn this by ear or are you working off of a score?
I learned it partly by ear and partly by sight,
Peter Labau/Titanic String Band was my YT-teacher, https://youtu.be/4XlaDB5PCH0?t=570.
What I couldn't see I filled in by ear.
Out of these I made a tab and started to practice slowly.
Then I make a backing track that suits my taste
Added an intro, as I play on marketplaces with my backingtrack; there has to be some intro so I can pick up the song. Also I added some repetition, I like to play pieces that last long enough to make people find their wallet!
Ah, I figured as much. You are sort of following the later arrangement by S. S. Stewart but you did some different things that I had not seen in print before (and I have located 5 different published arrangements).
I'm always on the lookout for any arrangement that I don't have which is why I asked.
It sounds great though!
