It is with great sadness I have to report that Brian Dingley passed away on Wednesday.

A big man with a big heart he will  be remembered for his talent, his generosity, and his enthusiasm for everything to do with the banjo.

Thanks for posting this Jill, so sad.

Brian was a lovely bloke, always ready to help..he appreciated those of us who made the effort to support the Backwell Rally and did his best to support Clowne and MBF.

We will play 'Man the Guns' for him at Backwell, but miss his brilliant mandolin banjo lead.

Rest in peace, my friend.

Sad news as always when a banjo fan passes. Brian was a very cheerful and enthusiastic bloke who always added a bit of something extra to any group playing. I enjoyed talking to him over the years. I look forward to playing in the 'Man the Guns' tribute.
