yes ; i think the tuba or the Sousaphone ( wind instruments ) are the right sound to do the bass in a classic banjo band . Unfortunatly , i dont play wind or brass instruments ; so the fretless banjo is a good alternative to that ; you can listen the sound of the cello in the church_videos ; it is a big sound , especially when sliding notes are played ; " transatlantic " for instance
