A Site Dedicated to all enthusiasts of Classic Style Banjo
A nice display of banjos at one of the pre war banjo rallies.
Does anyone know about the black horizontal rectangles crossing the heads of most of the displayed banjos? What are they? Why are they there?
They are labels with model designation. Click on the “full view” and you can see them.
I think that they must be some form of early "subliminal" advertising... only "special" people can see them.
I can't see a thing, but I have always thought that I was nothing special.
You and Joel must be the chosen few ;-)
Thanks Joel. Sure enough, it;'s as you say. In the small version of the photo it looks like gigantic slices of black electrical tape.
It is a great photo and very cool to see that vendor booths have not changed much at all.
It seems that only the colour of the labels have changed!
