Wow - what a fantastic day!

Despite a hiccup with the Council over opening time - we had one of the best turnouts for ages. Great to see Carrie and Eric from the list;  Mike Redman was over from Cyprus and Claude drove from Belgium. I'm sure we'll have photos later in the day. Thanks to everyone who came and made it one of the best Rallies in ages......did I mention the beer?

Yes, it was a great experience - everyone was so friendly and welcoming.  I enjoyed watching the performances - Claude (with Helmut accompanying) played an original composition which was very cool; Michael and Pat played 'Languid Blues' and 'Calliope Rag' and Roger playing 'Banjo Vamp' on plectrum.  (I hope I have remembered everyone's names correctly - apologies if not).  I have come away with some new tunes to learn and a very helpful set of community tunes books (thanks David and Tom!). 

It was also a real treat to get to try out a variety of different banjos - Abbotts, Cammeyer, Clifford Essex, Windsor - I may have accidentally taken one home (cough).

Hi Dave and everyone, sorry I couldn't make it as I am not up to travelling yet, but it sounds to have been a great day.

Claude really does put a lot of effort travelling over from Belgium as I met her again at the MBF bash last autumn.

Next year I WILL make it !!
