Welcome Alan, I hope that you find what you are looking for on our site. We have everything from Lessons and discussions to excellent videos from talented Classic Style players. Help and advice is always offered.
hi Ian thanks for your help Ive got where i can freeze frame your exercises and practice .after a few years playing guitar Ive just checked the hight of my fingers from the strings I found first three fingers close but pinky flapping around abit so Ive been playing four chromatic notes up and four down then across fretboard & back while keeping eye on pinky seems to be working kind regards ALAN
I am pleased that you sorted it out, Alan. Any help you need, please just ask. There are plenty of people who will help any way they can. Look out for the fourth finger strengthening exercise that I demonstrate to strengthen and improve the little finger. The "flying Pinky" is a curse to me too!
Classic Style if tough to learn initially, but keep practising because the rewards are great!!
Thank you Alan, It is good to see that our efforts are appreciated. The ChipIn box has been removed as we reached the set limit, but any donations will all go towards enhancing the site for the future. I have sent you a private email. Let me know if you have any other suggestions for things that you would find useful on here.
Glad you're enjoying "Cannon Jig", I do need to make some more vids.
Unfortunately, I've been 'off' (having dental problems) for a week or so and just haven't been playing much. "The Scorcher" is on my "learn" list...but probably not anytime soon!
Hi Alan, thank you for the kind comments. The member who plays Chet Atkins tunes is Michael Neverisky (aka Frosty Morn) who is an excellent banjo and guitar player -- I only wish I could play like that!
