PAUL MERTON: MY PART IN BANJO HISTORY

Those of you who are  interested in the social history of the banjo may like to look at the recent episode of the TV program 'Who Do You Think You Are?", starring Paul Merton.  It seems that an ancestor of his on his father's side was 'vocalist' to a banjo player in London in the early years of the banjo.  If you watch the show, this is in the second half, but the first half about his mother's family is equally engrossing.
