This is the first of three more Egyptian themed tunes that I've completed. Maloof was born in Syria and moved to the US as a young child. He later became one of the most prolific composers and orchestra leaders of the first half of the 20th. century. He was a promoter of Syrian music and that's reflected in this composition which has an authentic eastern feel about it. The score and midi are in the library...Steve.

Nice! Missing the "snake charmer" motif...but it is a tad early to be an Oriental Foxtrot anyway...;-)
