Dallas' Complete List of Banjo Solos and Technical Works

These catalogs are indispensable for research. I am always fascinated by them.

One of the good things about them is that one can see all the music that they did not know about and will likely never get to play.  At least now you can play the first line of them.

Enjoy (and join the ABF).

Yah, I have a similar one but each piece is a full page printed very tiny. If you want to play the piece, you need a really good magnifying glass...and the eyes of a teenager.

I've got a copy of the CE catalog like that. Mine is missing the cover but I'll scan it anyway.  The prints are not sharp enough to be usable.  Even with a high res scan and blowing them up shows that they are practically useless.

I've red the BMG ad copy for the CE catalog but I don't think the goal was achieved.

Clifford Essex Catalog of Miniature Reproductions now available...

Looks good, Joel! Frankly, using Acrobat I have no problems enlarging and reading the ones that are relatively clean. Sure, the first page is pretty messy...but crank it up to 300% and I can read most everything on page two...and wherever the print is relatively clean. Fingering numbers are just smears but the notes are there.

I would say that something like this (in our modern computer age) is a decent window into literally hundreds of tunes. Blow it up and start playing thru...there might be miniature gold buried in there!

Thank you again!

Yes, I should have tried other pages and not just the first.  The problem is that the catalog does its job well-- I'll find pieces that I will want more than the first page of.

Yah, hopefully, if you find something you like somebody will have the rest of it buried somewhere.
