I have two tracks played by Tom Edwards and I need the titles and composer. I sort of recognise them and will probably kick myself when I get the titles, but at the moment I would appreciate it someone can name them!

TOM EDWARDS track 1

TOM EDWARDS track 2

Many thanks

I also 'sort of recognise' them, the titles might come to me when i wake up form my late afternoon snooze.

Hi Ian ;

Track 1 is titled "Curiosa" written by Harry Von Tilzer but was recorded and popularized among banjoists by Ossman as "Keep Off the Grass".

Track 2 is "Koontown Koffee Klatsch" written by J.P. Greeberg, (also recorded by Ossman, under the same title).

Typo alert: Gree(n)berg.    The Ossman recordings are in the Original Recordings section of this site.

Thanks for correcting that Jody.

Thanks for identifying them.  I had heard them both several times but somehow the titles were not properly deposited in my brain bank.

Slight insignificant correction, "Curiosa" is not the orignial title, "Keep off the Grass" is correct.

CE published it under "Curiosa" for unknown reasons.

Thanks everyone.  The reason that I needed confirmation is that I had received the works of Tom Edwards in a collection from Hal Allert and it seems that he had incorrectly added the wrong MP3 files for these tunes in his database. Now the Tom Edwards Collection in our ORIGINAL RECORDINGS  player actually plays the correct tunes ;-)

You all beat me to it.I'd taken a few sharpeners on board prior to Sunday lunch and took a nap afterwards. I didn't come round until about 9.00 pm and went straight to bed. The titles came to me in the night but by then it was too late. I think that I've got an arrangement of KKK by Alex Magee somewhere, so if anybody needs to see it let me know
