This is a very good Foxtrot and has the sound of something that could have been written after the ragtime era. The second part is especially pleasing and makes a good contrast to the rest of the composition. To get the best effect, I've added a note to the scores suggesting that you slide the grace notes.The score and midi are in the library..Steve.

1915 was a good year for pastries (and double-entendres). There were quite a few "Jelly Roll" tunes published in that year.

My favourite jelly roll song of all time is  'He's jelly Roll Baker' by Lonnie Johnson, in particular the 1942 recording where he plays it on acoustic guitar. It's one the all time great blues recordings. I wonder if it would work on banjo?????....Steve.
