Time again for me to continue in my battle to beat the red eyed video monster.
Sylvia, who do you think won ? ☺

I would like to blame my wife for making me look a twerp in a daft hat and bowtie, Adam Latham for supplying the piano score and Clifford Essex for making and obviously faulty banjo that keeps buzzing and playing the wrong note…. That was a joke for those who don’t get jokes ☺

But I like the tune, despite the stupid title. Emile Grimshaw really did compose some great pieces. Please accept my apologies for the odd buzz and fluff, the wife was putting me off wobbling the canoe. The joy of this site is that it doesn’t matter if your videos are not perfect we all know how difficult it is to play a piece note perfect.

So come on everybody.. Have a go at posting your progress. If an old duffer, like me, can anyone can ☺

Sorry for not posting before, but I have had a distressing couple of weeks after the death of a close relative.

My wife and  I would like to thank to everyone for the nice comments on our canoe trip, particularly about  the straw hat and bow tie, of course.

Emile Grimshaw pieces seem to have great melody and lend themselves to speed and dynamic variation.

As an old duffer, I take it as a great compliment to receive posts from such good players too!

Seeing the website of the NICE BANJO ORCHESTRA  and watching Eric and Marc's playing was what got me back into playing after a very long break. So their comments are really appreciated :-)

I will soon have time to get  back into practice ..... so beware, there may be another video on the way!  :-(

ps. Eric and Pat... come on more from you too please !!

I am impressed... the playing as well as the composition are really great! Is it possible to post the sheet music on this site? I will be very greatful. It won't be easy but I think (hope) it's within my capability.

Nicely played. Thanks.  Do you know where to get tab or sheet music for this piece?
