I've always liked the 'kick and rush' style of banjo playing, personally, I aim to get about seven notes out of ten in the right order, some people aren't as fussy as me. I think that Edwin makes a nice banjo sound and he entertains me, who could ask for more? He can come round to my house and sit and play his banjo to me whenever he likes. If I had waited until I could play something perfectly, I would still be waiting to play a tune on the banjo. If it makes anybody happy, I have been playing the banjo, on and off since 1961, and I can guarantee that I have never played one tune perfectly, in that time, but I'm not too bothered by this, and I've had plenty of laughs.

*Baba* Ghanoush? Isn't he the spiritual guru of Lebanese banjo players?

Richard ,all these videos are playback  .some ( how many ? ) sequences of the tunes edited & pasted from a multi track recording  machine and play / playback without attitude  .  He is a good player but not with the level he want making believe to the fellows watching his u tube .

" blaze away programmed in 4/4 ............... !

bass line of blaze away , not the good notes , even basic harmonic sequences , he   seems to not ear this .

CB is hard to play  & there is no way to post cheating videos to proove something

Marc, do you really mean that people cheat on their video recordings by editing out the bum parts?

Surely not!!!!

I edit IN mistakes just to make me appear more human, as I always play tunes 100% perfectly  ;-)

..You can tell what a relaxed player I am by watching my clenched jaw and furrowed brow.

Mr Sparkes is just TOOOO relaxed !

Sure is Trevor, just work on a manic stare and grind your teeth like I do, and you will be there!
