A truly delightful playing and video. Thank you for posting. Old Alfred certainly knew how to write tunes to bring a tear to the eye.

Excellent! Really lovely.

My room mate, sitting across the room looked up when I played your video and said: "that sounds so nice. So legato". Well, there you have it. From someone who's not a banjo addict.

I actually also tried to record this piece a couple of days ago but was not happy with the result. Maybe I'll have another go... I play it quite different from you. And without the accompaniment, unfortunately. It's really nice to hear that too. Really makes the piece complete.

@Pär Engstrand - Thank you ...legato is high praise ... still don't feel like I am there yet :)  I would love to hear your interpretation of this. I think the piano really fills out the sparseness of the 2nd half of the piece.

Really super!  It's a shame so few people know that the banjo can be as expressive as this.  I am also envious that you can coordinate the tempo changes so perfectly with your accompanist - that takes more effort than learning to play the solo.
