She said that they are going to review it in a couple of weeks. Now, with 'Mary Mackillop' having just been made Australia's very first 'Saint', I think your Mojo could be working. So stay cool. Ray
Hi Ray, I am the eldest of 3 sons of Tom Barriball "The Banjo Man" and live in Launceston, Cornwall, England. I am trying to find out as much about him as I am able to see if there is sufficient to write a biography of his life. He died of Cancer a few years ago now and I am named after his "Banjo Idol" the great "Tarrant Bailey Jnr". He also had two daughters and was married twice. We, the family, are trying to find out what happened to his banjo's as when he died we never saw any of them at all and he had several, some of them very precious & irreplaceable
My father used to play traditional/classic banjo pieces as well as "dance band" type music. One of his favourites was a piece called "Cromarty" which was in 2/4 time and he used to try and get me to accompany him on the piano when I was 12yrs of age. Way beyond my capabilities at that time but I used to do my best which was never good enough for him. Regards - Tarry Barriball
Yes back in the land of the living, not been on top form for some time, but I am getting back into the banjo world, will put some more photos on my page when I have time. Thanks for asking about me.
Yes, the prices of all things banjovial have become insupportable, mark my words, there is a crash coming, remember what Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac did to the housing market? Take my advice before the sub prime, special investment vehicles and non collateralised, over leveraged, under securitised, forward debt bond issues, on the International Vellum Exchange, futures, collapse. Sell! Sell! Sell!
