Hi Allan, if you take a look at the 'photo's page, there is a picture of Mr & Mrs Frank Merton of Glasgow with an Abbott banjo the same as ours, well similar as I know yours has the fifth peg in the centre of the peg head of the banjo.
Hi,Allen I picked up a banjo today with Frank Merton Glasgow on the heel,I have checked the old photo you put up it is very like the same type of banjo.I picked it up for £20 ,it needs a little work but after your comments it looks like it will be worth it.
