This is a gem of a rag with an interesting backstory. Around 1905, Cleary opened a Chilli Parlour in Spokane, Washington, which he called Flaming Bob's. For the full story check the link below.I could find no musical connections for Cleary other than the picture of him on the title page holding what appears to be a six string guitar banjo. I may be wrong, but my guess is that he may have had someone else write the music on his behalf and he took the credit as a means of publicizing his business. If anyone can add anymore to this, I'll stand corrected.

It's a good tune and it reminds me in parts of The Smiler. The score and midi are in the library...Steve.

This is a great rag! I'm not so sure I would have enjoyed the chili...esp. considering the lack of restaurant inspections, basic food cleanliness, etc., of the period.
