You get two for the price of one with this. I arranged this some years back and the original is in the library. I had a second look and wrote two new arrangements. The first is in G and is shown on pages 1/2 of the attached score Pdf. and the other in C pages 3/4. The G version is the least challenging but my preference is the one in C. The MP3 is a recording of the one in G. It's a very good early C.Walk that suits the banjo very well. Ian will add them to the library…

This is a good, early example of ragtime written by a French composer. I couldn't find a bio on Cairanne but there is a lot of his music mentioned on the web suggesting that he was a prolific composer. It's a great tune that's well suited for the banjo and it's one of my current favourites. I've mixed and matched the RH and LH as shown on the piano score and raised some of the passages by an octave. The score and MP3 are included with this post...Steve.…

This is a one off, self published rag by Foley who was from Ontario, Canada. It's a catchy tune and not too challenging to play. Included is the score and MP3 which Ian will add to the library one the storage issues are resolved.

This catchy early rag was self published by the composer who was the owner of a music shop in Cairo, Illinois. There were three other Buchanan compositions mentioned on the title page but I was unable to locate a score for any of them, this appears to be his only rag.
I haven't been very active in the last years, mainly because I haven't had time to play classic banjo at all. I hope that will change in the near future.

To my eyes it looks like a really nice instrument (perhaps slightly over priced?)

What are your thoughts on it? Would it be a good buy?

This is another well written rag from Daniels, it has plenty of variety and I particularly like his use of block chords in the third part (bars 48/64) .
I just got this arrangement of the Park Crescent March "Concert Edition" with an added Banjeaurine part that I thought our friends on the other side of the pond might like for their next banjo rally.
