Dynamite (A noisy rag!)..1908..Paul Biese & Henri Klickmann

Another rag that ticks all the ragtime boxes. My suggested fingering leans towards melodic style for the first three bars or so (plus repeats) as I found it the easiest way to make the music flow nicely. It's an interesting composition and worth a listen. The score and midi are in the library...Steve.

What a disappointment...no explosions at all! Hardly even 'noisy' either...I suppose you could force something out of it to make it so.

This is a delightful rag with an unfortunate title, in my opinion. It begs to have some kind of sound effect...and doesn't have one.

Well done though (as usual). I do like it.

I've found another two Dynamite Rags, one by Russell Robinson (1910) and the other by Samuel Stokes (1908). They're both very good but as with this one, not very 'dynamitey'.  I suppose it depends how they're interpreted. I've found the music for both so I'll put them on my to do list for later...Steve.

Thank you for answer. Of course Ragtime Dorian is great, I like him and  saw this version, but it's not a person as it's a midi !

Today, I passed a lot of time in front of a Morley score, it was a labourious arrangement. I was switching all the time between the solo version and the piano/banjo version; because there are a few changes between both. I hope to record it in the next days. It was cool to see in détails how these mélodies are written, with sometimes some archaic chords/bass stuff.
