Name that tune! This is another medley of popular tunes arranged by Richmond as a march. I recognize the usual subjects but there are a few that I don't, maybe someone can name them all? It's my 6th 'Yankee' featured tune and my 309th arrangement. I quite like this and it's not too hard on the fingers. The score and midi are in the library..Steve.

Hi Jody, many thanks, you're yet again the fount of all knowledge re American music. I'd never heard of Reuben, Reuben so I had a listen on You Tube, it's a delightful childrens song that doesn't appear to have crossed the Atlantic. Tune number 6 is still a mystery but maybe someone will eventually to put a name to it....Steve.

In the 19th century Reuben Reuben was  Reuben and Rachel, a pop song for people of all ages. The 20th century children's song is a parody. I vaguely  remember hearing the original as a boy. My impression is that " I've always known it".

I do know some things about old music, and not just from America, but many of my posts to this forum have been informed  by using an internet search engine.  So I recognized the melody of RR because I was born early enough to have heard it "everywhere".  I "knew" who composed the original (it was Birch and Gooch) from 11 seconds spent on a wikipedia page.
