Frank Coyne kindly sent a list of scores that he has available to share with us and one title reminded me of a great video that was produced a few years ago by Joel and Carl.

To me, their amazing performance was haunting and spellbinding, so thought that it was worth another watch!

Now we have the score available in the MUSIC LIBRARY too.

Can you post as a TablEdit Tab

Thank you

Rich Freeze

Hi Rich,

I sent the Tabledit file via PM to the email address you posted. I didn't want to clutter up this site with files (TablEdit) nobody else but you and I use.

Here are the TAB files for "Richmond Breakdown", "Lou'sana Jig" and "Hudson River Breakdown". I'll post the MIDI files separately...and PM the TablEdit files to Rich F.

Here's the MIDI files for the above music:

Ok, last three pieces from what Frank C. posted earlier. Tab first. MIDI in next post.

"Funeral March of an Old Jaw Bone" (1st and 2nd bjo).

"Levee Jig"

"College Breakdown"

Thank YOU again, Marc for all the work that you have done in producing TABs and MIDI files.

Some folk do not realise the effort and particularly the TIME involved in producing these scores.

Marc deserves a Christmas break, so please everyone... easy on the TAB requests or Marc will never see his family!

Hi Trapdoor,

My goodness you have been very busy! Well done, many thanks indeed, I’m sure these tabs and MIDI’s will be a great help to beginners especially the suggested fingering which can be very tricky for newbies trying to learn on their own. Thats good advice from Ian! Stop all tabbing for the moment and relax!

Thanks again and best wishes to you and yours for a very Happy Christmas and New Year. Frank

LOL. Merry Christmas everyone.

It has been cold and drizzly here so I've been keeping myself away from all the Xmas crap on TV by Tabbing. I just got a dozen new vintage banjo sheets last week and have been trying to clear my "to do" list so that I can do the ones that look interesting.

I am taking a break for a while...to play some of these tunes!

A well deserved break, enjoy it! Frank

Joel, thanks so much for the historical note. I have always wondered who Bolsolver Gibbs was.

Sorry Ian, How do I do that.

Thank you
