Who is Clarence F.Brown?

I'm currently working on a tune by the above composer but can't find any info on him. Can anyone help?...Many thanks...Steve.

Other than as the composer of "Armadillo Rag", I find nothing. Cool rag though.

Armadillos, I can do without. They've recently moved into this area and are a pest.

Hi Marc, Armadillo it is, maybe Clarence is  a pseudonym for someone more well known, it's too good a rag to be just a one off...Steve.

Yah, I gave the MIDI a listen last night...pretty cool rag with a bit of a unique ending. Looking forward to your arrangement!

I agree that Brown was likely a pseudonym...I'm not so in tune to all the rag composers that I could discern any signature bits though.
