Well, French harpsicord music on a 5 string banjo!!!
... and who says the banjo isn't a versatile instrument?

Very good playing. Know any 17th Century ragtime?
:-)

Thanks Ian It sure is.With all the great ragtime in the music library, especially with the transcriptions of the exceptionally talented Steve Harrison I don't need to look any further than here. Thanks for all,you do!

Very nice!

My very first LP that had any sort of "Classic" banjo on it was one from banjoist (now professor) Paul Smith in 1983, titled: "Mysterious Barricades, The Banjo Redefined".  It not only featured the titular piece but also a great rendition of Lamb's "Ragtime Nightingale". All on open-back, nylon strung banjo, of course. I xferred it to mp3 and thus still listen to it on my ipod regularly.
