This is generally acknowledged as one of Handy's best compositions. It has the alternative title of 'Mr Crump' which may refer to Edward Crump, a Tennessee politician of the time.  The piano score is in F and I've arranged it in C as this better suits the banjo. Now I gotta dig out that banjo...

Thanks Marc, this and St Louis Blues are my must play favourites at the moment. I've a couple more of W.C. Handy's tunes in my to do folder but they may be a little more challenging to do. Time will tell...Steve.
