This is a cake walk by Mrs Sadie Koninsky ; i heared from the cylinder version by Vess Ossman . I think i am close from his version but i need time & time again to play it like the maestro .
Yeah! I know that cylinder well. You've got some features that may be even better than Ossman here. I also appreciate your choice of fingering (both hands) which is similar to what I would do. Your banjo sounds a lot like my CE Imperial but I think yours may be a Clipper. Is that right?
THX guys , yes Rob there is a lot to learn from this piece ; it is amazing to see that Lou Ossman already knew all these techniques in 1908 ; 1st part is mostly " melodic style " , and the 2 others more technical / strange hammering , double melody , & always syncopation . Yes Jody , you are absolutly right , not when you say better than ossman , it is impossible , but this CE is a clipper ; i had it from a British old timer fellow . Eric told me he will soon record the Joe Morley ' version of this tune ; i am awaiting
