I'm on the market for a Clifford Essex Professional or a large pot (11.5"-12") Weaver. It's near impossible to find English banjos on the other side of the pond, and there haven't been many on Ebay as of late. Anybody got a lead on one?

Although their numbers are not as great as in the UK, I have seen plenty of English banjos on the American continent, especially in Canada, but also in the USA. What happened to the CE Professional you got from Craig Evans? It went from Skip Sail in Australia to Rafe Stefanini in Philadelphia to Craig in Minnesota to you. Has it gone back across the Atlantic to England from where it first went to Australia?

I do agree that Weaver banjos are hard —very hard— to find in America. I've never seen one here. But Clifford Essex, Windsor, Cammeyer, Temlett, Dallas, Abbott —these not only show up for sale, they are being actively played all over the place.

Jody, just sent you a PM.

Got it. thanks. Well, if I see another CE Professional I'll let you know but I bet you see it first.

Thanks.
