I know, along time without new videos. I had been focussed in practicing new stuffs!

A new tune from the amazing book of Frank Bradbury.

German, now you sound like a banjo player. I hear a big improvement in your timing and sound.

I think your blog is fantastic. what a good idea! And what an eye-opener to the world as to the variety of what a banjo can do or should do.

I had a funny experience listening to Pajama Dance. I live on the third floor of a three story house. It seemed that the people in the flat below me were vacuuming the ceiling, or maybe a squirrel had gotten in-between the ceiling and my floor and was rolling a coconut. Every time I would stop the video to enable me to hear the noise more clearly the noise would stop. Soon I realized the sound was actually the wind blowing in your microphone. But somehow it seemed to come from below my floor.

Thanks Jody for the nice words!. Indeed, thats is the purpose of my blog: sharing the improvement of an amateur player and also to illustrate different aspects about banjo music.

The story with the microphone actually its quite sad because last year I lost a ZOOM HD  that I bought saving money for a long time. Therefore I has not been able to record (with quality) new tunes or new takes of previous tunes. This one, I recorded with the camera of my brother in law. The camera was fine but I could not mitigate the wind blowing sound. In the future I will try to record more videos with this one (in places with less wind). My goal is to record Clematis Waltz (I had been dealing with this tune for almost 4 years!) and new takes of Ensign Schotische and maybe Sunflower Dance. I am also exploring new tunes such as Gipsy Dance (using the videos of Marc) and Dushka (Clarke Buehling suggested me that one).

I will let you know about that, and again thanks for your words!

Hi German, good to see (and hear) you back on site. As Jody says, your playing is getting better and better!

Thank you for the video.. do save up for a new digital recorder with a wind shield though!

I look forward to seeing the new videos too :-)
