"Banjoland" (Joe Morley, 1919) Classic banjo with guitar accompaniment
Greg Adams (banjo) and Tom Crytzer (guitar). Greg was inspired to learn this piece from listening to Tony Trischka's performance with Bill Evans from Tony's 2008 "Territory" album from Smithsonian Folkways. Tom was nice enough to learn a guitar accompaniment on-the-fly when we got together to play some tunes during Memorial Day weekend.

The composed second banjo part is a bit difficult. Bill Evans learned it by reading the score on the 5 hour flight to the recording session and imagining the movements of right and left hand. I used to play that second part in Secret Life Of Banjos. There are some descending chord passages where my fingers sometimes landed on top of each other instead of one the strings.
