I mentioned that Anthony had been working hard.. here are the results.

These scores are now added to the "Works of Joe Morley page".

We now can view, download and listen to over 70 of Joe Morley's compositions being played on my Weaver.

I am sure old Joe would be proud to be a World Wide Recording Star.. and of playing my banjo, of course!

Ian, with the latest scores you are getting into some real Morley treasures.

Note for Jody:  Listen to" A Banjo Diversion".  It opens with the first two strains of "Yankee Glide" but the remainder is different and quite tame by comparison. Perhaps the latter strains of YG were just too demented for the publisher to deal with, necessitating a rewrite and title change.

Thanks, Shawn!  The first parts are the same. The second parts are similar or nearly so. The intros are unalike. But this is a big help. Much appreciated.

And thank you Ian and Anthony for this Morley project. It got a very nice writeup in the latest ABF 5 Stringer and that was for when the midi sounded midi-like.

Except the midi doesn't know what to do with the "yankee glide", the slide into the last measure of the first part.

"Midi and glissando" are mutually exclusive, otherwise we would all be redundant Jody.

Wow, Ian, you’ve really topped yourself this time; the site was already stupendous, but with your individually-recorded Weaver banjo tones and all the efforts you and Anthony Peabody have been putting into this Morley index, that section of the site is now nothing short of astonishing. Really truly something! Thank you again for maintaining the site overall and for making it such a pleasant and bounteous place to visit.
