Firstly I must point out that my wife, who must be obeyed, said that I looked a scruffy mess in my last video and that I should smarten myself up a bit before I post another video to the group… so don’t blame me, it’s all her fault that I look like a waiter ☺

I have seen the recent discussions about Marc S publishing the Sousa March compositions for Classic Banjo. I should point out that we Brits knew a bit about Marches too. We probably invented marching about as any ex UK army, navy, air force or fire brigade members can confirm!

Also we had probably the most prolific composer for classic style banjo in Joe Morley, and he sure composed some cracking marches.

This is one of Joe Morley’s Marches, and again, one which I used to play a good number of years ago so it still needs a bit of practice…. But here goes.
