Well done! It's always amazing to listen to previously unrecorded music... it's being brought back to life!

a beautiful polka by the great Parke Hunter ; i should say ; intermediate + because of the unusual RH fingerings . I did not find any cylinder or recording of this ; so i had no idea of the tempo but i guess it must not be played too fast

Quite a demanding piece in Hunter's more romantic style; I think that you got the tempo right, any faster than this and you would need to be Parke Hunter to play it. Well played.

Well done, Marc. The main theme is identical to a popular Mexican ranchera called El Gavilan Pollero (the chicken hawk).

Se llevó mi polla el gavilán pollero
La pollita que más quiero
Que me sirvan otra copa, cantinero
Sin mi polla yo me muero.

Here's a typical rendition:

A very pretty piece of music Marc, a bit too Advanced + for me at the moment but maybe in a year or two.

Thank you, very enjoyable to listen to.

That is interesting Jody, Hunter also borrowed the second srain of 'Blaze Away' in one of his marches, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so they say, others quote copyright and sue.

Again, a lovely piece, played beautifully by Marc ...Hunter  ;-)

I have added the score and piano part to the MUSIC LIBRARY for those brave enough to tackle a Parke Hunter piece!

Great stuff Marc... keep them coming, we love them!
