Simple, but there seems to be something about it.

It is great to see more videos from you Mike. I loved your Pecan Pie performance from ages ago!

I hope you don't mind but have edited the title as  "Sams Waltz"  looks better than "Movie 4". Is this your composition? I was only saying in a recent post that is is excellent to hear new CB compositions.

A simple waltz is good! You don't want too many notes in  1,2,3, 1,2,3 do you?  ;-)  You really do produce a lovely delicate yet punched tone from the banjo.. it is great!

One thing though.. you are holding the banjo the wrong way round ;-)

Keep them coming!!!!

Thank you Ian, you are very kind , I did think this one would be just too simple for the CB crew , but Sometimes I just like simple. The banjo the wrong way round , yes I know , but I'm stuck with what the computer churns out , I don't know how to change it . thanks again Ian, Mike.

I agree with what you said, Mike... it's simple but very pleasant. Many waltzes often benefit from simplicity... one of my favourite pieces for the balalaika, "Daydreams" by Andreev is about as simpe as they come, yet very beautiful. Thanks for sharing your music with us.

Dear Alan , I have not written the tab down yet , however if you give me until after Christmas I'll get back to you .  Thank you for the interest , I like waltzes ,there is just something about 3/4 and the banjo . Have a great Christmas , best wishes , Mike .......

Nice! I'll give it a try as well once you write it down, Mike.

Alan, if you want a nice, easy waltz to practise while you're waiting for Mike's piece, I would recommend "Clematis" by Joe Morley, it's easy but very pleasant, and I think our friend Marc has tabbed it out on Hal's Classic Banjo site.

I have just received a copy of  Mike's score for Sam's Waltz.

It is now available in the Music Library, but only as Mike's handwritten TAB.  The scan quality is not perfect, but I am sure that it is legible.

Thank you for sending it Mike.
