Hi Jody, I tried to play the video just now and wasn't able to, the video space came up black with the words " this video is private " Don't know what I am doing wrong ?

Hi Jody, Perhaps you could try going to Youtube EDIT and tagging the video as "Unlisted" rather than "Private". That may enable us to view it.

I've changed the settings.  If it's not viewable now here is the link:

Sorry about this, I've never posted to youtube before and was trying to avoid general viewing because while I'm somewhat proud of the tune and over the moon about the banjo, the performance is poor and the average youtube viewer, unlike the friendly members of this group, are both ignorant and brutal.

It works fine now Jody..

The average Youtube viewing public  eh?!  Well, if you do get a moron just pass him a banjo and say "You show me how it should be done".

Even the moron appreciate skill and talent and you have both by the bucketful.  The tune is far too difficult for me, but a great performance on a really great sounding (and looking) banjo!

That Mr Stefanelli  certainly does make exceedingly good banjos!

Now you know how to do it... keep the videos coming!

Ian

ps. When you post a video you can EDIT ... change its title at any time to remove the .mp4

Thanks Ian.  the date and mp4 should be gone now. About the difficulty of tune:  the parts I made a mess of were easy to play, i just went to the wrong frets. It's not a hard tune to play though it sounds as though it might be. Most of the tunes you have played on your videos are far more technically demanding. At least for me they are. Gryphon and Star is gotten almost entirely through chord positions. The only exception is a few notes where the fifth string is fingered. I did it that way because it makes the right hand very easy.

Yea, that was great.

I finally got around to viewing...

Well done, Jody! Beautiful banjo and excellent picking (and composing). Looks like a fun tune!

Thanks. It's fun when the camera is not on!
