Easy & beautiful , catchy et not fast ; I just discovered  this polka march by herb Ellis

I didn ‘t learned the tune , i  read ,it ‘ a easy to read & play directly ;  there are a lot of open strings , almost all in 1st position .

I think he composed this for the learners ; however , there is an intro , 1st & 2nd part , trio & coda

Enjoy this beautiful “ school of the banjo “ ‘ tune

Thanks Mr Ellis

That is a nice and effective little tune. Marc says that it is easy to play, so please do give it a try. I have just added the banjo and piano scores to the MUSIC LIBRARY.... so enjoy!

Thank you Marc, another winner :-)

Excellent job Marc, Ellis had a knack for writing catchy tunes and your performance really brings out this great melody.

I would like to thank new site member Melvyn Turner who has sent me the TAB, that he has produced, for Black Bess. Now we have 1st and 2nd banjo, piano and TAB parts for this piece uploaded to the MUSIC LIBRARY, so there is no excuse for not having a go.  ;-)

Thank you again Mel!
