Tuning for a six string banjo

I have a six string banjo made by Joe Daniels in London in 1888 and a five string short neck banjo he made about 1873, I also have a book of 30 songs that Joe arranged and wrote for banjo. The music contains low Gs, As, and Cs, what tuning would I need for this music.I have recently discovered that Joe Daniels was my G,G,G, uncle and although I am a complete beginner I would like to learn how to play one or two of his tunes. Daniels Banjo

Awaiting delivery of my Daniels Banjo, very excited, to think my ancestor made it and probably played it, even if just to test it before sale. I think this site and others will help me learn both a bout Joseph Daniels and how to play a couple of simple tunes.I found a video of Jody Setcher playing Pensacola, I think he maybe playing a Daniels. Awaiting delivery of my Daniels Banjo, very excited, to think my ancestor made it and probably played it, even if just to test it before sale. I think this site and others will help me learn both a bout Joseph Daniels and how to play a couple of simple tunes.
I found a video of Jody Setcher playing Pensacola, I think he maybe playing a Daniels. Any information would be most welcome.
