Poor Mdlle. Hirsch, let us hope that she did not commit suicide, the criticism of her performance seems very harsh. And what did Mr.Lawrence Kellie do, or not do, to merit such a passing reference?

What did Mister Sidney Bear Claw do to have the entire event described as *his* in the heading and in the first sentence,  which says he "gave" the concert?  On the basis of that one might think all the performers described were really him in disguise.

One can only assume they were his insofar as he splurged all his family's money on hosting concerts, which is probably why his grandson, Henry Barraclough, ended up working as a warden in HMP Slade.
