W E Temlett Princess 4

[Classic Banjo]

There's a Temlett Princess 4 for sale on Ebay.

It looks okay to my untrained eye. Is this something suitable for a beginner like me?

PS - At this stage, I'm not planning to spend much so if this is something really good and worth quite a bit then go ahead and bid because I doubt I'll be chasing the price up.

Hi Eric, I've had a look at all the pictures and it would  need some work doing to get it into playable order. If you look closely, it appears to have a cut down bridge which would suggest that the action is high, often the case with these old banjos as the neck and/or hoop tend to warp with age. If it's not too bad, it may be possible to do something with it but unless you are handy with a kit of tools, paying someone to do it professionally would probably cost more than the banjo is worth....Steve.
