For those who are not aware (or maybe don't care!) I was taken ill last Christmas time with what my doctor cheerfully calls my "near death experience"!

NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE ????? !!!!! :-((

I have been away from the website quite lot over the last months, but despite being a little quiet it, and I, are still here ;-)

Yesterday I saw the hospital Consultant and he told me that, after what seemed like endless radio-isotope perfusion scans, x-rays, blood tests, cardiac scans CT scans, cardiac stress tests   dah de dah de dah.....  he confirmed that I had made what he called a "remarkable and amazing recovery".

... SO  I am now a banjo playing and really "happy ducky" and would like to thank everyone for all the well wishes, prayers and gifts that I have received since I became ill and all the help, particularly from Steve Harrison, in monitoring the site while I recuperated!

I intend to get stuck in again with more ideas for the website, so please do call in and make comments in the discussion forum, post photos or videos, ask questions or even if only to say hello.

Without everyone spreading the word, Classic Banjo may sink into obscurity and it is FAR too great a style for that to happen.

So, if you are a member... please don't be a stranger!

All the best and long live Classic Style Banjo,

Ian, thereallyniceman

Love hearing you're "back"! Congratulations. Nothing bigger than this good news.

Back and better than ever. Over here some of us say "...badder than ever." Misspelled "bad" means good! :o) Welcome back Ian, I was starting to worry!

I am very happy to know that you are doing better, Ian. I am sorry to say that I haven't been around the forum for a while, and I apologize for that. My banjo playing efforts have been somewhat overtaken by the preparation of accordion and harp music along with my music partner's mandola and tenor banjo, as we are trying to pull together our music again so we can target some playing possibilities. Playing classic style banjo is truly my favorite style of 5 string banjo and I really love it. I won't ever give it up.

I hope your health will improve quickly. You know, of course, that music is healing to the mind, body and spirit, so, play your banjo and let the healing qualities surround you.

Great to hear that you have made a full recovery, Ian.  That's quite an ordeal you have been through and I am glad to hear that you are well again.  Welcome back!

Well done Ian!

Coffee-break is over, back on yer head! ;-)

Jackie whatever that project is, I wanna hear it!
