This is a 'bonkers'(eccentric)  composition and a real ragbag of differing styles.

It starts with a pseudo classical intro which is followed by a pleasant tune that wouldn't sound out of place in one of Aaron Copland's American suites. Next comes an Irish reel, a few more bars of nonsense and then a Scandinavian style Polka complete with bass solo. It then repeats the first two melodies and ends in a grand finale. Never the less, it all seems to work. The score and midi are in the library.....Steve.

Cool piece! I have a copy of this on an Edison cylinder lying around somewhere. Very seriously non-PC, it has a bit of a "blackface" skit at the beginning. You can listen to it via YouTube.

Marc, thanks for your comments, I've has a look on Youtube and came across this by the Columbia Orchestra which I assume is the same as your cylinder. It may be non-PC to modern ears but does reflect racial attitudes over 100 years ago.
