Continuing on an aeronautical mode for Marc, here's another rare, if not unknown rag by someone of whom I'd never heard.. Glogau.

From what I could find out, was principally a writer of patriotic songs and a bunch of his songs and a march is in the National Jukebox section of the Library of Congress...http://www.fultonhistory.com/fulton.html...

I obtained this website from the fount of all knowledge regarding ragtime music, 'Perfessor' Bill Edwards and if you search for Glogau, it displays numerous articles in various New York entertainment publications suggesting he must have been quite well known in his day.

It's a very good rag, not too challenging to play, and the score and midi are in the library...Steve.

The Fulton history website on the original post is worth exploring, I searched Fred Van Eps and Vess Osman and it turned up some interesting articles....Steve

Love it! The early aeroplane suffered the same problem as the banjo: artwork from artists who'd never even seen one. Well done on the music too...

Hi Marc, you're quite right, it would never fly!...Steve.

No, no, it flies great. I used to have two of these.  I got em in trade for Joe Morley's personal banjo. The wings flap, you see.

Speaking of artists who have never seen a banjo, *this* recently appeared on ebay.
