Request for Tablature.. Hints on using the MUSIC LIBRARY search

I received this email from our new member Kris Truelsen and I hope that he doesn't mind me posting it as firstly it gives me an opportunity to show how the MUSIC LIBRARY "more options" button works... and secondly a bit of praise for me and the website is always worth posting ;-))

Email:

Hey there,

Excited to delve into the world of classic banjo. I am an oldtime musician (guitar, mandolin, and a little fiddle)...brand new to the banjo! I do not read but can play by ear and tab. Would you recommend I just jump in head first and start reading? Are there any good tab resources you would recommend? Im getting through your instruction of the GA medley and am loving it! Thanks for all the work you put into this site. What an incredible resource!

Kris, reading the notation is the preferred option as it will open a vast range of music to you for all instruments, but it can be a slow process... but is well worth the effort.

BUT if you want to see the Tablature that we have available go to the MUSIC LIBRARY and click the "more options". There are quite a number of TAB scores, but many more in notation.

The tick the:  "Tablature?"  box  ( leave the search as "All Composers" and don't enter any key word.)

This will list ALL scores we have that contain Tablature as part of the PDF download.

Of course, leaving the "Tablature?" box ticked, you can enter a specific composer from the drop down list, or enter a few letters of an title you are looking for in the search box and the clever database will do the rest!

Thanks for the crash course! I've been exploring and am thoroughly impressed at the depth of catalogue. It's definitely time to start reading notation. Here we go!
