I'm gradually working my way through CLJ.s music and here's another pleasing rag. There's a nice change of tempo in bars 60-63 where he's introduced dotted notes and unusually there's no change of key, it remains in C throughout. Bars 68-69 in the piano score were tricky to play on the banjo so I've rewritten them using descending pairs of notes instead.Overall it makes a good banjo rag. The scores and midi are in the library....Steve.

That dotted section is indeed different...that 'lilt' sounds out of place in a rag for some reason. After a few listens, it sounds fine though. Well done! This is yet another hit from Johnson...

I think CLJ wrote this as one of his novelty rags..Steve
