Artie Matthews is one of the lesser known Ragtime composers but some rank him amongst Lamb, Joplin and Scott as one of the most sophisticated. He wrote five versions/variations of pastime Rag between 1913 and 1918. This is the first and my favourite and the one I thought  to be the most suitable for banjo.
