On the Ganges by Bert Bassett is now available in the 'Music Library'.  I sent the score initially so Greg Adams could have a look at it.  It is not an easy piece to learn, but certainly well worth the effort once mastered.  I am not aware of a commercial recording and certainly don't have it in my vast collection of 78's although I do have an old tape copy of Bill Ball and me playing it with his piano arrangement.  Unfortunately all of my banjo collection is currently in storage and I do not currently have access to any of it, mores the pity.

It's a brilliant piece! I love it...most of Bassett's pieces seem really underrated to me. Definitely need more people playing them... I like Lazy Rhythm and Jumbo Rag (although the second page is a bit of a beastie :o)
